Native Plant Nursery

Locally-grown California native plants rooted in traditional knowledge

Growing Plants, Growing Community

We grow California native plants from locally-adapted seed in Willits, Mendocino County. Every plant we cultivate carries the knowledge of this land and its original peoples. When you bring one of our plants home, you're bringing more than botany—you're bringing cultural knowledge, ecological wisdom, and a connection to place.

Every plant comes with cultural knowledge: its traditional significance to Indigenous peoples of this region, its ecological role in the local ecosystem, and its practical uses for food, medicine, ceremony, or beauty. Our plants are water-wise, drought-tolerant, fire-resistant, and support local pollinators and wildlife—because caring for the land means caring for all its inhabitants.

Native plants support bees, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife that depend on them.

Cultural Connection

Reconnect with the plants your ancestors knew and used for medicine, food, and ceremony.

Each plant in these collections comes with detailed information about its traditional uses, cultural meanings, and ecological role.
